Meet Harry!

Manchester, North West

Harry, an ex-racing greyhound for hire, is a striking and gentle giant with a unique charm. Named after Harry Potter due to a small, barely noticeable scar on his face. Harry’s character is as captivating as his appearance. Once known as ‘Woofy’ in kennels, humorously contrasting his quiet nature, Harry has made a seamless transition from the racetrack to a more leisurely life.

As a former racer, Harry enjoys the thrill of a chase. This therefore makes him best suited for on-lead walks when cats are nearby. Despite this, he calmly passes by cats on his daily walks. Harry is excellent with other dogs, greeting them happily, though he has yet to be off-lead around smaller, more excitable dogs.

Harry’s attention span, typical of greyhounds, is slightly shorter than other breeds, yet he remains a focused and cooperative companion. His first professional photoshoot, only a few weeks into his home trial, showcased his natural modelling talent, earning him admiration for his striking and healthy appearance. Strangers frequently comment on his beauty and gentlemanly demeanour, often seeking photos or expressing a desire to adopt him.

In the office, Harry is a model of good behaviour, impressing everyone with his calm and well-mannered nature. He enjoys human attention, easily handled by strangers, and takes treats without hesitation, displaying a laid-back attitude.

At home, this greyhound for hire is content and relaxed, often seen gazing out the window, where his large frame can appear intimidating. However, his true nature shines through as he roaches on the sofa, indifferent to the comings and goings of workmen, yet always ready to greet anyone who approaches.

While Harry does not go off-lead yet, he thrives in secure locations or indoor studios. He loves playing with toys, occasionally getting excited by squeaky ones, and can sometimes resource guard. However, this is easily managed by swapping the toy for another or offering a treat.

Overall, Harry is an easy-going, attention-loving, and photogenic greyhound who adds a touch of elegance and charm wherever he goes.
