Australian Labradoodle
Australian Labradoodles differ from Labradoodles in general, in that they may also have other breeds in their ancestry. English and American cocker spaniel × poodle crosses (i.e. cockapoos). Two Irish water spaniels and soft-coated Wheaten terriers were used in some Australian Labradoodle lines. Their eagerness to learn makes them a very simple breed to train as well as making them versatile enough to work within a range of environments.
As is commonplace for dog breeds originating from poodles, Australian Labradoodles are very easy-going, friendly, and love spending time with people. Their temperament makes them great with children and comfortable in dealing with people and animals alike.
The idea behind the breeding of the Australian Labradoodle was to create a dog that had a low-shedding coat as well as the friendly temperament of their parental breeds. Generally, this has been a massive success with the dog breed commonly exhibiting the characteristics for which they were bred. Their radiant personalities and relaxed demeanours make them the perfect choice for modelling and acting work.
