Cairn Terrier
You might recognise the Cairn Terrier as one of Hollywood’s most iconic dog breeds. Yes, it was a Cairn that originally played the role of Toto, Dorothy’s dog in The Wizard of Oz. It’s unsurprising then that the Cairn has remained a prominent figure in film, television, and theatrical productions ever since. It’s a highly intelligent breed with a great capacity for learning new tricks and a gorgeous temperament. This is a dog that wants to be part of the family and always aims to please.
A Dog Breed perfect for various acting, modelling and marketing campaigns, the Cairn Terrier is incredibly intelligent and friendly. Unlike some other dog breeds – predominantly those bred to act as guard dogs – the Cairn Terrier is very comfortable within new environments as well as in working with various other dog breeds and other animals. Friendliness is the key word when describing a Cairn Terrier and you’re incredibly unlikely to find one that has an unpleasant temperament.
While they may seem mainly as little bundles of fun and joy, the Cairn Terries is actually an incredibly intelligent dog breed and can very quickly pick up various tricks, including those of higher difficulties.
