This medium-sized beauty was initially bred as a Gundog. The Cocker Spaniel became popular throughout the 20th century and has remained an archetypical family pet ever since. These dogs are often employed in the world of animal talent for their great personalities, as they tend to be affectionate, friendly, and trainable. Cocker Spaniels are popular with British brands and are often employed to portray house pets.
Size wise the cocker spaniel is slightly taller than it is long giving it an upright and alert look when stood on all four feet, this is perfect for modelling and photoshoots as it shows off its silky coat and adorable ears. Cocker spaniels can grow up to 40 or 43cm tall and while they enjoy social interaction and attention as much as any other dog breed, they do tend to be very well behaved and have a low tendency to bark.
Before any one of our cocker spaniel dogs are allowed to be hired out, they are thoroughly checked by a member of the Urban Paws team to ensure that they are up to date with all of their vaccinations and have a comprehensive medical record. All cocker spaniels and other animals from our talent agency are also tested to ensure they meet a high standard of training and are suitable for working within a variety of sets.
