Australian Shepherd
The Australian Shepherd is a breed of herding dog from the United States. Developed in California in the 19th century, it is claimed the breed descends from a variety of herding breeds including collies. They were bred to herd cattle and are now considered working dogs being commonly found on American ranches. The Australian shepherd is an active but laid-back dog who enjoys playing with youngsters and getting along with other pets.
The Australian Shepherd is a dog breed absolutely brimming with personality. Their infectious positivity and energy make them a mainstay in regular media and a popular choice when looking to hire an animal for modelling or acting work.
Whether they are trained to or not, the Australian Shepherd dog tends to get on very well with other animals and enjoy spending their time running around. They are also known to be especially keen to please their owners which often leads to a high level of obedience which makes them one of the easiest dog breeds to manage on set.
